Bereavement
Death & Dying
I have been working with people suffering bereavement for nearly five years; in our culture, we don't speak about death; instead, we bottle it up and damage our health. Commonly loved ones cant communicate their love due to fear. Talking to a specialist bereavement counsellor can help the grieving process and normalise thoughts and feelings. When a person is dying, talking to a counsellor might be less of a burden than family members or offer rest bite as I can visit and lessen the stress.
4.
Sexuality and Gender
Are you Feeling confused or wanting to come out and need a person to talk to first? Here we can discuss your needs emotions. The suicide rates related to sexuality and gender is exceptionally high; talking and working through who you are can help. Invite loved ones to the therapy room for support.

My Approach
My foremost approach centres on cultivating an empathetic, non-judgmental, and secure environment where clients can freely articulate their thoughts and emotions. This foundation enables a deep exploration of their inner experiences, fostering personal growth and self-discovery.
My extensive training in diverse therapeutic modalities, acquired through a wide range of diplomas and degrees, allows me to tailor my approach to each individual's unique needs. I skilfully integrate evidence-based techniques, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused therapy, systemic theory and Neuro linguistic programming to create customized treatment plans that effectively address my clients' concerns.
Throughout our collaboration, I maintain a strong emphasis on transparency and open communication. This ensures that clients are actively involved in the therapeutic process, granting them the autonomy to make informed decisions about their own treatment. By empowering clients in this way, I facilitate a strong therapeutic alliance that fosters lasting change and personal growth.
As a counsellor, I pride myself on my authentic and genuine demeanour, creating an atmosphere that feels less clinical and more like a partnership. This relatability allows clients to feel at ease, as if they are speaking with a trusted friend rather than a distant professional. My ability to be genuinely present and engaged with my clients fosters a nurturing and supportive environment where individuals can comfortably explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment.
About me
I entered into the counselling world through ill health; at the time, I found very little help for the stresses I was enduring. I reflected on what I previously enjoyed about my careers and quickly realised that talking and helping people was the element I missed the most. Entering into Counselling and Psychotherapy was a natural choice. I am furthering my studies with the ambition of becoming a Dr in Clinical Psychology
I am an accredited member of NCS and member of the British Psychological Society
and member of the BACP

Getting Help
Reaching out for help, for many, is a daunting task and sadly, many people avoid facing their problems. Men traditionally don't ask for help, or when they do, support is not given. Many years ago, I asked a G.P for advice help. I realised day to day life was becoming a struggle, I was made to feel silly, and no support was given.
Reaching out for help here could not be more simple. Drop me an email or call. Please leave a message.
