About Me
I am a fully qualified counsellor and therapist, an individual member of the BACP (adhering to their ethical framework), and an accredited professional member of the NCPS. I am also a member of the British Psychological Society.
My journey into Psychology began in 2009, initially through extensive self-directed study before undertaking formal training at colleges and universities. Since then, I have dedicated myself to developing both academically and professionally, building a practice rooted in knowledge, empathy, and lived experience.
Before retraining, I spent over a decade managing luxury hotels and running my own marine industry business. Life changed dramatically after I experienced two major strokes and other serious health challenges. These experiences reshaped my perspective and deepened my understanding of resilience, loss, and human connection. It was at this point I chose to dedicate myself fully to supporting others through therapy.
Since then, I have undertaken extensive training:
-
CPCAB Level 2 and 3 Counselling Studies
-
CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
-
Counselling Foundation Degree (Open University)
-
BA (Hons) in Psychology and Counselling
With this strong foundation, my next step is to begin doctoral training in Counselling Psychology, with the goal of becoming a Chartered Counselling Psychologist.
The photographs on this site are personal to me — my graduations at Wells and Cambridge, a peaceful spring day at Stonehenge, and a bright afternoon in Weston-super-Mare. They aren’t just pictures, but reminders of where I’ve been: milestones of study, moments of calm, and simple enjoyment of life.
Bringing these experiences together. My studies, and the challenges I’ve faced I aim to offer therapy that is professional, grounded, and above all, human.
